The most anticipated golf tournament of the year is about to begin!

The oldest golf tournament in the Baltic States, Niitvälja Karikas, will soon be played for the 28th time. The 54-hole stroke play competition is held on July 3–5, 2020.

The competition is open to amateur players with a WHS handicap. Men and senior men should have an HCPI of 18 or lower, women and senior women 28 or lower. The competition offers R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking points.

Classes

The maximum number of participants is 144. This year, men’s Mid-Amateur class is included for the first time!

  • Professionals – white tees
  • Men – white tees
  • Men Mid-Am – white tees
  • Senior men – yellow tees
  • Women – blue tees
  • Senior women – red tees

The men’s Mid-Am players also participate in the men’s class. The competition committee reserves the right to make changes in the classes and the number of participants. If a class has less than 8 competitors, the committee has the right to combine or cancel classes.


Entry fee and registration

The entry fee is 160 euros, for members of Niitvälja Golf 100 euros. The tournament package with accommodation costs 260/330 euros depending on the selected room type. The accommodation is provided by Hestia Hotel Group, for more information please click here. All players are welcome to practice between 29.6.–2.7.2020. The practice round green fee is 45 euros.

The entry fee can be payed to the bank account of AS Eesti Golfikeskus: IBAN EE901010002019833007, SWIFT: EEUHEE2X. Please include the name of the competitor followed by Karikas 2020. The entry fee includes on every competition day (3.–5.7.): an unlimited amount of driving range balls, competition rounds from Friday to Sunday, lunches, refreshments, fruit and snacks during the competition, the use of a trolleys and saunas.

Prizes

The prizes will be given out to the best players and runners-ups of each class. The names of the men’s, women’s and professional winners will be engraved on the oldest golf trophy of Estonia. The winner of the professional class will be awarded with 2 000 euros, the runner-up with 1 000 euros.
