Niitvälja Karikas will soon be played for the 30th time with a prize money of 10,000 euros
If you are interested in highly rated international tournaments, be ready for June 29 when the first and the oldest competition in the Baltic States – Niitvälja Karikas is being held. This year the 54-hole stroke play competition will be played for the 30th time on June 29 – July 1, 2022. Registration is now open!
The competition is organised by Niitvälja Golf and it offers R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking points. Entries will be accepted from any professional players, amateur and non-amateur players. For men HCPI should be 18 or better and for women HCPI should be 28 or better. Maximum number of participants is 144.
The prizes will be given out to the best players and runners-ups of each class. In addition, the best amateur man and the best amateur man 35+ (at least 35 years old on the first day of the competition) will be awarded. The name of the best professional player, amateur man and woman will be engraved on the oldest golf cup in Estonia.
In 2022 there are some important changes:
- This year we will award prize money in the amount of 10,000 euros and not only for best professionals. The prize money will be distributed between Men (including professionals), Senior men, and Ladies class players.
- Niitvälja Karikas is being held on weekdays from Wednesday to Friday (June 29 – July 1, 2022).
- On the first day of the competition, players groups of three will be decided by lot. On the second day, the groups of three will be assembled using the players’ 18 holes scores from the first day. On the third day, the groups of three will be assembled using the players’ 36 holes aggregate scores (from the first two days).
Entry fee and registration:
The entry fee is 170 euros, for members of Niitvälja Golf 100 euros. The tournament package with accommodation costs from 320 euros, depending on the selected room type. Registration is available here.
